Time-Increasing Signals

  • Self-Grooming: When the dog scratches an area of his body with either his back leg or chews at the area with his incisors. Also when the dog licks at an area of his body, usually genitalia.
  • Stretching After Interaction: When the dog extends both front and/or both rear legs outward and tucks the back of his neck at the same time.
  • Yawn: Regular: When the dog opens his mouth wide, pauses and releases a breath.
  • Yawn with Teeth Exposed: When the dog opens his mouth wide, pauses, releases a breath and in doing so his front teeth, either upper and/or lower incisors and/or canines, are exposed for a brief moment.
